Introduction: Gastroenteritis is a devastating disease particularly in children less than five year of age globally. In 1825, for the first time term gastroenteritis was used to describe this symptom. Study design: A hospital-based descriptive study conducted among years age. Setting: District teaching Hospital. The during one Month, from February march, 2017. Objectives: To Prevalence under 5 age, identify prevalence rate and other risk factors associated with disease. Material & Methods: sample population covered all admitted hospital specified period. (n = 50 child).Data were collected using scientifically constructed Questionnaire. Data analyzed computer soft-ware program (SPSS). Results: revealed that gender distribution indicated more prevalent male female children. Also higher families who have lower income 150 SDG (66.0%) there relationship between family gastroenteritis. Conclusion: concluded And also low socio economic status, sanitation practices parental education leads (GE) Ibrahim Malik Khartoum state. Recommendations: recommends Ministry Health should implement health training raising knowledge awareness mothers, department improve quality water avoid borne
